What is Breaksmith?
Breaksmith is a fully automated XAUUSD breakout Expert Advisor available for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. It identifies market-structure breakouts, places trades, sizes positions and manages stops, trailing protection and exits.
Is Breaksmith available for both MT4 and MT5?
Yes. Breaksmith is sold as separate MT4 and MT5 products through the official MQL5 Market. Choose the version that matches your trading platform; each version currently includes 10 activations, a free demo and a one-month rental option.
Does Breaksmith use martingale or grid trading?
No. Breaksmith does not use martingale, grid trading, unlimited averaging or recovery lot multiplication. Every trade is opened with a defined stop loss.
How difficult is the setup?
The core strategy is preconfigured. Attach Breaksmith to an XAUUSD chart, select a lot-sizing mode, choose whether to enable the high-impact news filter and allow the EA to manage the strategy automatically.
Which account and broker conditions are recommended?
A low-spread MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 account is recommended. Broker symbol names, contract sizes, minimum lots, spreads and execution conditions vary, so test with your intended broker on a demo account before live deployment. A VPS is recommended for continuous operation.
Can I test Breaksmith before buying?
Yes. Both official MQL5 listings provide a free demo. Note that the platform strategy tester cannot reproduce the live economic-news filter, so backtests do not include that feature.
Are returns guaranteed?
No. Trading gold and leveraged products involves substantial risk. Backtests, simulations and historical results do not guarantee future performance, and losses can include the full trading balance.
